Congress and NPR tackle phone justice and video visitation this week
NPR covers video visitation, and reform legislation is introduced in Congress.

It’s been a big week for the movement for telephone justice:
- U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and U.S. Representative Bobby L. Rush (D-Ill.) introduced a Concurrent Resolution to address exorbitant prison phone rates between the imprisoned and their loved ones. (press release)
- Rep. Tammy Duckworth (Senator-elect Duckworth, D-Ill.) introduced legislation to rein in the abusive video visitation industry. (press release )
