Change in prison population count 2009-2015
The difference between 2015 and 2009 yearend populations, calculated by subtracting the 2009 estimate from the 2015 estimate. A positive value indicates that the population grew; a negative value indicates that the population declined.
Percent change in prison population 2009-2015
Percent difference between 2015 and 2009 yearend populations, calculated by dividing the absolute difference by the 2009 estimate baseline, and multiplying by 100. A positive value indicates the population grew; a negative value indicates the population declined.
